This charter ensures a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every child, volunteer, and staff member at YouthSpark CIC.
Core Expectations
All representatives of YouthSpark CIC are expected to:
Always Do
- Act in the best interests of youth
- Uphold CIC values & mission
- Treat everyone with fairness
Never Do
- Bring the CIC into disrepute
- Ignore policy violations
- Misuse CIC resources
Interaction Standards
When working directly with young people, our team creates an environment of growth and safety.
- Active Listening: We take the views of young people seriously and value their input.
- Appropriate Language: We use age-appropriate, non-offensive, and encouraging communication.
- Equality: We avoid favoritism and ensure activities are inclusive for all backgrounds.
Zero Tolerance
The following behaviors will result in immediate disciplinary action or removal:
Discrimination or Racism
Bullying or Intimidation
Inappropriate Physical Contact
Substance Use While Working
